Biography
Roman Bunka was a German guitarist and composer, active in World Music and Jazz Fusion bands. His second instrument was the Arabic Oud that he studied mainly in CCairo. He played in concerts in the band of Egyptian singer-songwriter Mohamed Mounir, such as for the 2000 New Year's Eve concerts at the Pyramids of Gizeh. He was known for his collaboration with German and international musicians such as Embryo, Fathy Salama, Mal Waldron, Dissidenten, Trilok Gurtu, Charlie Mariano, Ramesh Shotham and Malachi Favors.
