Biography
Steve Appleton He was a chairman and chief executive officer of Micron Technology Inc. Mr. Appleton joined Micron in 1983 and has held a series of increasingly respoonsible positions, including production manager, director of manufacturing, and vice president of manufacturing. In 1991, he was appointed president and chief operating officer of Micron and in 1994 he was appointed to the position of chairman, chief executive officer and president. He assumed his current position in 2007. He died when his single-engine plane crashed shortly after takeoff in Boise, Idaho.
