Biography
Victoria Ostrovsky-Cohen was an Israeli judge and deputy chief justice of the Tel Aviv District Court. She was one of the first women lawyers in the State of Israel and prior to her appointment as a judge in 1978, she served as the District Attorney of the Central District. Ostrovsky-Cohen was born in Warsaw, Poland and immigrated to the British mandate of Palestine in 1934. In 1941 she began her law studies at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and began practicing as a lawyer in 1947.
